Then come to our Master’s Information Event on Thursday evening 5 October 2006, from 17.00 to 20.00 in the Wentgebouw, De Uithof, Utrecht.
• 11 September 2006: Brigitte Burgemeestre selected by the Ministry of OC&W

  CKE Master student Brigitte Burgemeestre has been selected for the Japan Prizewinners Programme (JPP), which is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OC&W). Brigitte underwent a stringent selection procedure and is one of the “outstanding Dutch graduates with a university master’s degree, who may aspire to become leaders in Dutch society.” Each year, JPP offers 20 excellent academics who have just graduated the opportunity to spend seven months in Japan, preceded by an intensive course in the Japanese language and culture. All the participants will spend four months working in a Japanese organisation; during the remaining three months, the participants will gain further mastery of the Japanese language and culture. Brigitte graduated in August with a degree in Content & Knowledge Engineering, based on research (together with Jan Brinkkemper) on the validity of the driving simulator of the company VSTEP B.V.

• 6 September 2006: Thesis project meeting for all CKE students will take place on Tuesday 26 September from 11.00 to 13.00. Information about the thesis process and available projects. Location BBL-165.

• 25 August 2006: Introduction meeting for all Computer and Information Science master students starting in 2006/2007 will take place on 4 September 2006. CKE specific introduction takes place from 11.00 to 12.00 (room to be announced)
• 25 August 2006: An article by CKE student Ramon Fano (together with Wally Smith, Daghan Acay and Gideon Ratner) entitled "Tools for designing and delivering multiple-perspective scenarios", will be presented at the OZCHI conference in Sydney, November 2006.
• 10 March 2006: An article by CKE student Maarten Mensonides (together with Bob Huisman and Virginia Dignum) entitled "Towards Agent Based Scenario Development for Strategic Decision Support" has been accepted for publication and presentation at the Eight International Bi-Conference Workshop on Agent-Oriented Information Systems (AOIS-2006), May 8-12, Hakotade, Japan.

• 15 September 2005:

  The first Master diplomas on Content and Knowledge Engineering were awarded to W. van Wely and K. Schwarz in a cerimony at the Academiegebouw on 29 August 2005.

• 29 August 2005: Introduction meeting for all Computer and Information Science master students starting in 2005/2006 will take place on 6 September 2005. See program here. CKE specific introduction takes place on BBL-505 from 15.00 to 16.00
• 12 April 2005: An article by CKE student Katharina Schwarz describing the results of her Master’s thesis has been accepted for publication and presentation at the International Workshop Formal Ontologies Meet Industry, Lake of Garda, Verona (Italy), June 2005.
